Covid-19 statement

Dear Bay Family,

As a response to the government announcement on Monday 16th of March on avoiding all non-essential social contact to slow the spread of Covid-19, we are changing the way that we connect, gather and worship together.

With an immediate effect, all public gatherings or meetings in person in the Bay church building will cease until further notice. This includes:

public acts of worship such as sunday morning services, AsOne events, Burn and Speakers of Life

gathered communal events including connect cafe, worship practice, pop up groups, family meals, and advertised small groups meeting at homes

pre arranged appointments like Sozo and prophetic appointments.

To limit the risk of the church buildings, both 103 and 109, being a source of contagion, the use and access to them in this season is at the discretion of the core leaders.
All current key holders must contact the core leaders in advance for permission to access for any purpose.

The church building itself may be closed but the church is not.

This is an opportunity for us as a family to arise and shine. To share and demonstrate the love of Jesus with each other and the communities around us creatively. We are working on ways to connect and be family together whilst not meeting in person.

We will share more details on how we plan to connect, care and mobilise over the coming days.

As an immediate response, we have set up a WhatsApp group for direct daily communication and contact from the core leaders and trustees.

Also, a priority for us is to support the Bay Foodbank to enable them to continue in their vital work within North Tyneside.

If you can volunteer or would like to find out more what you can do to help, please contact coreleaders@thebaychurch.co.uk.

Our prayer for you is that:

the Lord would bless you and keep you in these uncertain times – when all that is familiar is fading away,
That His face would shine upon you.
You would feel and see His overflowing graciousness in your life,
You would be captivated by His loving gaze
and be filled with His peace.

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
